Quick Pickled Red Onions
This side dish is the perfect compliment to summer BBQ! Packed full of flavor and only uses 5 ingredients, be sure to read all the way through for some suggestions for how to make this with a few different flavor combinations!
- 1 Large Red Onion, Peeled and Sliced thinly
- 3/4 Cup Blackberry Roasted Pepper Fruit Vinegar
- 1/4 Cup Water
- 1tsp Fine Sea Salt
- 2tbs Wildflower Raw Honey
In a small sauce pan, stir together the vinegar, water, salt and honey. Cover over medium-high heat until the mixture reaches a simmer.
Place the thinly sliced onions in a mason jar. Pour the liquid into the jar, put the lid on the jar and shake to evenly coat the onions.
Let the onions marinade for 30 minutes. Be sure that the onions are pressed down under the liquid.
After 30 minutes, they are ready to eat or you can refrigerate them for up to 2 weeks.
