Rhubarb is a classic flavor, especially popular in the Midwest and Canada, that showcases tart fruit with sourness of limes and lemons. It is often paired with ginger in recipes – you can enjoy ours already blended! Our Rhubarb Ginger Balsamic is slightly sweeter than classic rhubarb and has a variety of uses. It is used in desserts (pies, compotes), as well as with poultry and pork.
Some fun way to use this product:
Use as a salad dressing for a spinach, fig and proscuitto spinach salad – garnish with some pine nuts
Make a spicy chutney by sautéing onions and minced jalapeños, blend in the Rhubarb Ginger Balsamic, dried currants, a splash of Roasted Chile Blood Orange EVOO, and some brown sugar
Make a sweet-yet-tart sauce by macerating fresh blueberries in the balsamic, and adding cranberry juice
Drizzle over fresh fruit or pecan pie
Make a vinaigrette by combining the balsamic with Blood Orange or Meyer Lemon EVOO
Create a spicy marinade for pork chops by mixing with Roasted Chile EVOO (or Citrus Habanero EVOO for a stronger kick), or create a fruity marinade by adding our Strawberry Basil EVOO, or add some herbal notes with our Rosemary or Basil EVOOs
