Cowboy Steak Rub

Cowboy Steak Rub is a flavorful addition for any steak lover’s favorite cut of meat – from the popular Porterhouse to a T-Bone or a Kansas City Strip. This smoky flavored mixture packs a little bit of heat without being too hot and has a hint of sweetness to it.

We recommend that when using it as a steak rub that you use 1-2 tablespoon(s) of seasoning per pound of meat. Be sure to evenly add the rub to both sides of the meat and then work the mix into the meat with your hands. Once this is done place the meat in a large resealable bag and place in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours. For best results we like to leave our rubbed steaks in the fridge for 24 hours before throwing on the grill.

You can also use this as a light seasoning and sprinkle 1 teaspoon of rub per pound of meat or make a quick steak marinade of olive oil (1/4 cup), red wine vinegar (1/4 cup) and 2-3 tablespoons of Salt Free Steak Rub. Then just brush on both sides of the meat (and pour whatever is left on top) and then refrigerate for 2-4 hours – you will love the resulting taste.


It is hand blended from chipotle powder, garlic, sugar, cumin, black pepper, onion powder, mustard powder, domestic paprika and thyme.
